What and who is Castart?

Castart was founded by Aart van den Dool. Because I was born in Sliedrecht I grew up with Dredging.

Castart represents more than 20 years of sales experience in the metal industry. Combined with technical, metallurgical and foundry knowledge, and off-course insight and experience makes it clear that Castart can offer you a high quality of service in your purchasing or developing route.

My first commercial experience was with a steel trading company in beams and merchant bars for a period of 7 years. I have recently become the agent in Holland for the same company called Unisteel. I sold stainless steel pipe, tubes and fittings for Van Leeuwen Stainless which is part of the Van Leeuwen Pipe Group in Zwijndrecht for another 7 years.

My last job was, again, for a period of 7 years for Van Voorden Foundry. This foundry from Zaltbommel is specialized in ship propellers and wear resistant castings for the dredging industry. I was the international sales manager and due to that I have visited and provided my services to nearly all dredging companies on the world. No need to say that it fits as casted to be an agent for 2 foundries. See tab Sanders and tab W&TS/Siwaco.

I’m straight forward and direct, but above all honest and reliable. I like to build up and maintain long term relationships, because these are the basis for turnover and repeat orders. I put customers first and offering the customer a solution for his problem is already the first half of the order.
